IF_Becoming a pioneer - not sure that I want it enough

Yes, it’s me as a little pioneer at the age of seven in the late eighties.

Like in many other states under control of the USSR, in Hungary during the communist era all pupils of the lower grades had to (well, officially it was optional) enter into the pioneer movement (operated by our communist party). The scarf you see was a traditional item of clothing – typically red, but in this case, for the elementary school entrants blue that stood for Peace.

To be honest I hardly had the time to get the feeling of it ’cause after a couple of years the system went down and with it all its organizations vanished for good.

Great photo. Like the small patch of blue against the black and white.

Wow, pont ilyen képem nekem is van, csak az enyém fekete-fehér még a 70-es évekböl.

Same here in Slovenia. i was a pioneer for few years, but it was at the end of that era, so we were never able to do the fun pioneer stuff :o)
We had white shirts, blue skirts, blue hats and red star on the hat, and red triangle neckcloth.
Those were the days.

I just found your blog via IF and Sketchpause - blog. Love your work.
